We congratulate Eugenia Benavides Buitrago, class of 1980, for her ranking in the Top 100 Women in the Shipping Industry 2021. She obtained 64th place out of 1,610 women worldwide, the only Colombian in the ranking. Eugenia is a Business Administrator from Universidad del Norte with a Master's in Maritime Transportation and Port Legislation. She has been the Director of Marine Fuels for Colombia in Terpel since 1984. Eugenia is a board member of IBIA International Bunker Industry Association, based in London, representing the Latin American stakeholders in the bunker business. She is also a board member of the Marymount Alumni Association, Actuar Famiempresas, and WISTA Colombia.
