MACC Policies
The main purpose of the MACC Club is to offer the community of students of the educational institution, from preschool to 12th grade, sports, artistic, global competition and entrepreneurial leadership activities.
MACC General Considerations
- Students who wish to join the MACC Club must register through the website once they have read and accepted, by their parents or guardian, the registration agreement and policies.
- Annually, the MACC Club establishes the requirements for extracurricular activities, in accordance with the academic activities of the Marymount Corporation.
- The cost of registration of the institution and the accompanying person to participate in local and national models will be assumed by the Marymount Corporation, through MACC. This value includes the participation in BAMUN plus two (2) external models of the student's choice.
- Students who wish to participate in an additional model must submit their request to be approved by the MUN Coordination, in addition to assuming 100% of the costs and registration.
- Students may participate in a MACC activity subject to availability of space.
- Students must act with respect, and following the discipline guidelines of Marymount Corporation, inside and outside the institution.
- The student must be enrolled in MACC in order to participate in any of the Club's activities.
- The process of joining the MACC Club is for the school year, however, they can be withdrawn through the web page in the month of December only.
- By joining the MACC Club, the parent gives consent for the student to participate in activities, friendly games and local tournaments and to be transported in the institution's buses or by any company assigned by the institution to attend its activity, training or game outside the main site.
- The invitation to any activity, friendly game and/or tournament that involves an outing during the academic day must be authorized by the responsible parent or guardian and by the Section Director.
- The student enrolled in MACC may participate in activities, games and/or local tournaments and act on behalf of the institution.
- Students selected to represent the institution in events outside the city, related to Sports Clubs, Model United Nations and Congresses, or when these events interfere with classes, must meet the following requirements: - Not have more than two subjects in insufficient.
- Have a Discipline and Responsibility of 75.
- Not be involved in a disciplinary process with serious or serious offenses.
- Be in good standing with Pensions and Other Collections.
- The selected student will have the opportunity to recover the evaluations made during his absence.
- The participation of students will be authorized by the Direction of Section to which he/she belongs. - Parents are responsible for their child's costs of any national and international travel (lodging, tickets, food, transportation, etc.).
- The expenses of the accompanying persons and coaches for national and international trips will be covered by the parents of the students (lodging, tickets, food, transportation, etc.).
- Students participating in a national and/or international activity or tournament must sign a Behavior Commitment Act.
- During the final exam period, there are no sports games and the club suspends activities. These days are made up at a later date and announced in advance.
Sports Club - MACC
- The Sports Club, being part of MACC, is additionally governed by all its general guidelines, being able to participate in national and international tournaments.
- All athletes must acquire, at the time of registration, their competition uniform assigned by the Marymount Corporation, in order to perform on behalf of the institution.
- The athlete must be registered in the club at least fifteen (15) days prior to the date of the tournament in order to participate and represent the institution.
- The athlete must have a minimum attendance of 80% on the date of the tournament and/or date of the competition match in order to participate.
- MACC Club membership includes participation in the Marymount Cup and some local intercollegiate/interclub tournaments, does not include uniform costs. Karate, does not include graduation costs - exam and belt.
- Club sports members are recognized for their outstanding athletes at their 6th grade ceremony and 12th grade graduation ceremony.
MUN (Model United Nations) Club - MACC
- The Model United Nations, as part of MACC, is additionally governed by all its general guidelines.
- By being members of the MUN (Model United Nations) club, students between 5th and 12th grades will have the opportunity to plan, organize and participate in the Marymount Corporation's Model United Nations, BAMUN, as well as in other local, national and international models, as long as the student complies with the requirements stipulated for representations of the institution.
- The cost of enrollment of the institution and the chaperone to participate in local and national models will be assumed by the Marymount Corporation, through MACC. - In the first semester, MACC will assume the cost of the student's registration to participate in BAMUN and in another local or national model.
- In the second semester, MACC will assume the cost of two (2) registrations per student for local and national models. - Students who wish to participate in a third model, in the current semester, must submit their request to be approved by the MUN Coordinator, in addition to assuming 100% of the costs and registration.
- MUN Club members receive certification for their participation in BAMUN each time they participate, and in grade 12 they receive recognition for their years of permanence and membership in the Club.
INTERACT Club - MACC
- The INTERACT Club, being part of MACC, is additionally governed by all of its general guidelines.
- As members of the INTERACT Club, students in grades 7-12 will have the opportunity to participate in social activities organized by the group.
- Weekly meetings are established by the Board of Directors headed by its President.
- INTERACT members are recognized for their participation during the year when the student remains enrolled for the entire school year and participates in 80% of the activities carried out (50% activities and 30% meetings).
