One of our eagles has returned home and is now part of our squad! We are proud to announce that José Madeiro, Marymount class of 2007, is the new advisor for Marymount's Music Department. He is a professional Musician from Universidad de Los Andes with a major in Audio Production, and his latest accomplishment in the music industry was to win the “Factor X” competition, which aired on Canal RCN in 2021.
He has also produced more than 200 works of resounding success in the children's music industry such as one of the versions of the song "La Vaca Lola", and he is also the owner of a Communications agency in Bogotá.
“Marymount was my first stage. The school taught me the discipline to successfully cope with this long and rocky process of being able to thrive in the music industry. It feels spectacular to be back at Marymount. I’m so impressed and proud of seeing how Sister Johanna's vision has been fulfilled. It fills me with pride to be a witness of the school's progress and to be able to be part of its history once again. I feel at home”.
We are so happy to welcome him back and we congratulate him for his outstanding musical career!
