What is e-Learning?

E-Learning is the name for Marymount´s virtual teaching and learning experience where students acquire knowledge and develop skills collaboratively and autonomously using technology outside of the traditional classroom.

Once the health situation in the city allows it, Marymount will function using the Blended Model. This approach combines the synchronous and asynchronous classes, with in person meetings, making the most of the learning-teaching process development. These models suggest systematic changes in the educational context that teachers develop to facilitate student learning and can be implemented during any emergency caused by infrastructure, climate, public health or social order factors.

What is Hybrid model?

The Hybrid model that we offer for the return to school is a HYFLEX model that combines educational work strategies at home, prioritizing e-Learning and supporting the formative experience with in-person meetings at School. Hyflex, which comes from the words hybrid and flexible, is a model that allows students to have both in-person and virtual learning experiences - to those not attending school - simultaneously.

This model favors the whole community, especially those students with base comorbidities that can pose a high risk of Acute Respiratory Infection (ARI) and COVID-19, which is why they can stay at home and attend those classes taking place in person virtually.
