
History
Marymount Barranquilla was founded in 1953 by the Community of Religious of the Sacred Heart of Mary, in a private house in a residential section of the city, and at the request of some alumnae living in the city, graduates of different Marymount Schools in the world. With time and the collaboration of the parents, the facilities grew as the number of students increased.



Today, Marymount School is an educational institution approved by the Ministry of Education of Colombia, according to Resolution No. 00487 of April 4, 2003, and internationally accredited by NEASC (New England Association of Schools, May 13, 2010) and CIS (Council of International Schools, April 29, 2011), in its three (3) levels: Preschool, Elementary and High School.
